July 2005 Dinner Meeting

The July dinner meeting was held on July 18th at the Coon Rapids American Legion Club.

Besides the normal business, plans were made to staff a food booth at the Anoka County Fair, and staff a concession stand at Sand Creek Park during a softball tournament (both events fund-raisers). We also finalized plans for the second annual family picnic, bingo at Park River Estates Nursing Home, and for a  trip to Camp Friendship to provide ice cream to the campers.

Special guests Roy and Evelyn Delorme, who are visiting the area, attended the meeting and plan to help in some fund-raising events.

Lion Terry Hedberg contemplates the large Tootsie Roll given to him by Lion Keith Howard as Terry did not seem to get enough during the July Fourth Parade.

Special guests Roy and Evelyn Delorme attended the meeting. Roy is a former member of the Coon Rapids Lions Club. Roy and Evelyn now reside in Florida and are in the area visiting.
