The annual Coon Rapids July 4th Celebration Parade took place on Friday, July 1st. The parade is an annual project for the Coon Rapids Lions Club who organize and sponsor the event. This was the first year the Coon Rapids Cardinal Lions participated, and a great time was had by all. The weather was excellent and crowds along the parade route were the largest ever.

With the Lion Mascot looking over the truck, members threw candy (over 60 pounds) to the large crowds as Lion John Dicken follows on foot.
