Members of the Coon Rapids Cardinal Lions spent many hours cooking and serving sweet corn, baked potatoes and turkey legs at the Anoka County Fair. This was a fund-raising project for the club which was facilitate by Lion Terry Hedberg who owns the cooker, tent, and cooking supplies. Lion Terry made all of the arrangements and ordered the food and paid members an hourly rate to the members preparing and serving the food. Although the activity involved long hours and hot humid weather, the project raised significant funds for the club and plans are being discussed for next year's fair.
